AREA Circulation Plan
Rouzan will be a critical link between the existing and planned BREC bicycle infrastructure and will connect the historic neighborhoods of Southdowns, Woodchase and Pollard Estates with the Baton Rouge Health District and the University Lakes.
ROUZAN Circulation Plan
The Rouzan bike lanes will connect the planned Hyacinth Avenue bike lanes with the existing bicycle infrastructure that surrounds Pennington Biomedical Research Center and the Baton Rouge Health District through a network of shared bike lanes — called "shadows."
Intersection IMPROVEMENTS AT GLASGOW AVENUE
To help connect Rouzan with the adjacent, historic Southdowns neighborhood, new traffic calming and beautification efforts will be implemented — including a new design for the intersection at the Tupelo Street and Glasgow Avenue that will help provide safer access to the proposed East Baton Rouge Parish Library and the Village Center of Rouzan.
Rouzan will include new crosswalks and extra-wide sidewalks to increase walkability and bicycle connectivity throughout the surrounding areas.
